On the road

 

Integrating nutrition, stillness, fitness, and many of the other Selfseeds can be challenging while traveling.  Luckily they are in 5 minute increments, so it is easier to slip them in.  I find being a member of 24 Hour Fitness helps me a lot to keep up on the fitness seed, since they have gyms all over the country and accessible hours.  While driving long distance, I try to keep water and a couple of pieces of fruit ready for snacking on rather than grabbing a bag of chips or cookies at the gas station stops.  I use my driving time as a space for contemplation and stillness, since I can turn down the volume of the world (turn off cellphone, radio, etc.) and drive with only my thoughts and action of driving.  In some ways, a long distance drive can act as a

mini retreat.
