Insanity Program

A picture of an image with the word " sprout ".

The Insanity Program came in the mail today.  I decided that I want to work out twice a day, since I am so stationary with meditation and time on the laptop.  I liked that practice in India, so I wanted to find something that I could do at home that didn’t require equipment.  I get plenty of equipment at the gym, so I thought I would try one of the info-commercial workouts.  It came down to Insanity and Tony Horton’s program.  I am in above average condition, so I wanted to see how these programs work, do they work, what do they change in the body, how difficult are they, how motivating are they, can a person take 5 minutes from one of the workouts to do something fun with the body.  I have always liked plyometrics, since it uses the body as the tool and requires balance, flexibility, coordination, integration, and ‘the works’ to execute the exercises.

My goal is to perform a science experiment and see what happens. I am not planning to become a maniac, but it is possible-not to mention that any exercising is better than none.  I am going to continue to eat as I already do which is very healthy.  Their program includes a lot of meat, but I am in a vegetarian phase, so I picked up a carton of  cage free eggs (compromise) and some yogurt.

My plan is to blog daily and share the journey.
