Cross country hike
Nothing like just siting a point on the horizon and start walking.  It felt great to head out into the countryside.  Jaipur is green right now, so you get a sense of freshness instead of the aridness which is more true to its desert characteristic.  There are a lot of rocks on the hillside–great for building fortress walls-so you really have to pay attention to your balance and weight distribution.  I know from training horses, the experts always recommended training on different surfaces, so the there was a proprioception aspect added into the  work.  As long as one is able, I cannot imagine that wouldn’t be a good point for humans too.  My foot muscles felt like they got a workout and I had to work a lot with coordinating my movements.  I was able to scale up some small rock slabs on the the top of the ridge and gingerly twist and turn through the thorny acacia trees that were everywhere, (no path which can be a shortfall to siting and walking vs. picking a clear path.)  I did get to a point where there was undisturbed landscape except for native animal tracks and tunnels passing through the brush.  It reminded me of  South Africa and the safari terrain:  this reminded me that there are tigers in the area, so maybe I had better find my way out of that rugged terrain.  It would be great to see a tiger, but not while I am on foot and without a weapon–I did learn that very clearly while in South Africa.  Or…could I count that as  a Selfseeds partnering?
