Fun to get the Selfseeds Journal ready to print. Takao has done an amazing job organizing this journal that will go with both the Selfseeds program and the Selfseeds for the Equestrian program.

Selfseeds for the Equestrian was accepted for presentation at the national convention for the United States Pony Club Inc. We are planning to launch the journal at this event.

Inner Work

When I look back over the past 4 years of extended stays in India, my focus has been on learning about the place behind the mind, the quieting of the mind, and the ability to live with a more stable sense of inner peace. It has taken single-pointed focus and grace. I wasn’t a meditator, but it has required sitting still and reflecting inwardly as part of the teachings. Plus, integrating the inner work in all of my more outward life. Try just 5 minutes and see what happens.

Eating Fun

Staying for extended periods of time in foreign countries gives me a chance to explore different diets. I am learning very quickly that what tastes good in the mouth doesn’t always make the rest of the body happy. Learning to listen to the after effects of eating has become very important.

Compromise

When I look at the list of Selfseeds and compare my contact with them on a regular schedule vs. a traveling schedule, compromise is the key word. Not a permanent state, but a temporary state. Maybe even diving deeper into the one’s I can stay in contact with. Nice to be aware of the complete garden of seeds even if I cannot tend to all of them. Creativity is another part of compromise–Selfseed Personalize 5.

Walking

Having the right shoes makes a huge difference while walking for hours. First time walking in high end walking/light hiking boots and my feet are thrilled with the level of support and balance. They feel a little bit heavy in comparison, but my feet are happy feet!

Tracker

With all of the walking I have been doing at work, I have wanted to get a tracker. I just started to research them, but I was given one for my birthday. Fitbit. The zip model. I have talked to Heather about creating an app for Selfseeds, so it will be a good trial run to work with recording information everyday, being accountable, and learning from my daily activity, (moving, eating, sleeping, and more). So Cool!!!  Thank you Mick and Cindy!

Repetitive Work And Counter-Actions

Challenge of working in a repetitive work action.  The body is not a machine, so how to counteract the effects? Stretching, moving, and positional awareness are key.
