CPR/AED Training

What an invaluable course for empowering one to have the tools to help someone effectively that is choking, heart problem, in an accident scene and more.  I haven’t taken a CPR class in 15 years, so A LOT has changed.  The teacher was very practical and hands on, so we had many opportunities to work with the mannequins and run through practice scenarios.  In the past, I left the class feeling like I new enough to be consciously aware that something could be done, but practically inept at attempting to step in.  With this course, I feel equipped to help and be effective.  Adding in the training with the AED machine is new, but with the advent of technology and increased awareness/higher health standards, it isn’t as unusual to have access to a defibrillator machine.

I appreciate that this is an educational requirement for personal training certification.  If everyone took this class as just a “life assist class” it would be amazing.

In the ongoing development of Selfseeds, I am feeling motivated and inspired to develop a program that can touch the lives of any and all individuals in an authentic, heartfelt, practical, and personalized way.  The hope will be to move forward without glamour as a marketing requirement.  We are all unique and beautiful in our own ways, so the focus will be on helping one develop these attributes realistically, comfortably, and appropriately for a given life style–and not for a proposed industry standard of health and fitness that is obtained by a very small group.  If one wants to go for it fantastic, but I am also cheerleading/jumping up and down for all of those who take any step in a life enhancing way.  It is hard work, requires focus, and conscious choices, but the most lasting changes are made in small increments so a stable-flexibility is created in the journey for adaptation.  The human system is designed for adaptive change, so dig in and take advantage, have fun, and get your Selfseeds garden started.

I love this post. Especially the third paragraph which really resonated with me. Beautifully said! I feel the same way as I follow my own path to helping others. I hope that paragraph makes its way into your website under your philosophy or something like that. Thank you!

The presence of Selfseeds in my life has helped me to keep examining what I need in the soil for growth and potentially flourishing. As I experience deeper, less distracted states of being, it leads me to a clearer point of simplicity and truth. Thank you for sharing and recognizing that place in yourself.
